You can get a High-Performance PC from Origin Today! I Recommend Amazon for Games.

My Thoughts: 100+ hours in Destiny 2 Forsaken is the absolute best expansion that Bungie has ever produced.
The Dreaming City is magnificent with its towering spires and center citadel evoking a tolkien-esque feeling of Middle Earth.
The Awoken are Destiny’s Elves and I am in love with them and their Kingdoms.

Forsaken Week 3 Ascendant Challenge Solo Guide

The week 3 ascendant challenge the “Shattered Ruins” in Destiny 2 Forsaken’s Dreaming City proved to be very difficult for me solo. Here is a Guide to help you make it up to the top of the jumping puzzle and kill the frustrating Taken Centurion boss easily!
Don’t forget: Like, and Subscribe (ring the bell) While a Taken Centurion would usually be quite a pushover a 550 light level one not so much. Did my solo guide help you complete this week’s ascendant challenge? Let me know in the comments!
Note: I was a pretty low light level for this challenge, making it especially difficult.

Short Written Guide:

First off you have to reach the top of the jumping puzzle and doing so is pretty easy. If you need some tips I would recommend bringing a sniper rifle to take out the hobgoblins as soon as you get the chance. They can be incredibly annoying during your climb.
You will either have taken walls that push you if you get into their proximity or these taken bombs that I had when I completed this.
Both are equally frustrating so for the walls don’t stand in their blast radius and the bombs are the same however it is difficult to determine a safe distance to stand at. I preferred to jump up the platforms quickly so as to avoid having to worry about it.
Once you reach the top a group of Shadow Thrall will spawn. Throw a grenade to take them all out quickly or use like a scout rifle or something. Be warned that engaging them at melee range will surely get you killed.

Destiny 2 Forsaken Week 3 Ascendant Challenge

These will keep spawning, so after taking out the first group climb up the final two platforms quickly and jump up to the center platform. Make sure to pick a super that does a lot of damage and also gives you mobility. I preferred to use the Angel of Death Dawnbreaker class on my Warlock but use whatever works for you.
The trick to completing this ascendant challenge solo and under-leveled is these tiny platforms you will find around the arena. While I won’t lie this strategy is boring and slow but executing it successfully will have have you complete the challenge.

Basically after using your first super make your way up onto one of the platforms I show in the video. You can stand on them and hopefully you will get lucky and the Centurion won’t even go on a patrol looking for you. This makes the encounter a lot easier and allows you to just take out shadow thrall from a safe location. If however you do have to deal with the centurion my best advice is to just keep moving the entire time.

Never stop moving unless you know you are absolutely safe as if you fail here you will find yourself spawned back outside the portal. Since the instance resets, this means you will have to climb all the way back up!

Use you emote to see around the corner and occasionally jump up to the center platform. Make sure to always be moving side to side and not facing the centurion head on because he has a really powerful attack he can use where he throws a tether at you. If you get hit by this you will most assuredly die. His tether makes it so you’ll be unable to jump or move quickly for several seconds.

Unfortunately Just 2 of the shadow thrall can hit and kill you at around 520 light. I’m not sure if this challenge can be completed any lower light than that. If you are under 520 and can damage these enemies then this strategy will work for you but I wasn’t able to try anything lower than 520 yet.

The Centurion can spawn hobgoblins on the center platform but I mostly ignored them or took them out with my rocket launcher if I got lucky and ammo spawned for me.
Wait on the safe platforms until your super charges then use it against the Centurion follow and that up with a grenade or any secondary abilities. Rinse and repeat. You should be able to complete this in no time.

Week 3 Ascendant Location Lore Item

You’ll see at the end of my video that I climb down to the location of the area where you can get the lore item. I recommend that you beat the challenge first and then go back down and get it rather than risk wasting time and possibly getting yourself killed trying to get it on the climb up.
